Our centre is a childcare centre. We have a sandpit, and it was causing a lot of problems as we couldn’t seem to keep the debris out. Cats were consistently getting in under the tarp and using our sandpit as a toilet. The tarp more often than not was underneath the sand instead of covering it. The children hadn’t had access to the sandpit for over a year.

 We had been looking for a solution to our problems for over 12 months; the current solution of a tarp to cover the sand pit was really not working.  I had contacted several companies, asking if they had a solution. I looked at having a wooden cover built, or maybe a roller shutter type set up that could be utilized as a cover. No one could offer us a solution.

We found Superior Shade Solutions through an advertisement in the paper. We asked Landon to come out and have a look. He spoke with us for quite a while, really listening to our needs, and came up with a solution. Landon installed shade screens on all three sides of our sandpit (the fourth side is against the shed wall). These shades are able to be rolled up and down, and we can lock them down when the sandpit is not in use. Landon also gave us a contact for the replenishment of the sand in the sandpit, and we are more than happy with that service also.

Throughout the process, Landon kept constant contact with us, informing us of where he was at with things. Landon provided extra service in helping out by replacing some of the timber surrounds to work with the shade solution.

Landon's pleasant nature and superior service made him a pleasure to have in the centre. The children now have a sandpit, and I think they believe the “sandpit men” are heroes. We no longer have an issue with leaves and rubbish, or cats. And through the recommendation Landon gave us, will have continual maintenance of our sandpit around keeping the sand clean and hygienic for the children to play in.

I cannot recommend Superior Shade Services enough, and we will be definitely employing them in the future when it comes time to add more shade sails to the centre.
